Senior Surveyor - Property Management - #2165316

Varnom Ross are delighted to be working with a renowned property consultancy on a Senior Surveyor hire. Based in Birmingham, this is a great opportunity for someone who likes full ownership of a portfolio rather than just ticking along on it. You’d be the day-to-day contact for the asset manager on your buildings, so it’s very much a client-facing seat. You’d handle licences to alter, assignments and underlettings, deal with lease breaches, and run service charge budgets and reconciliations. You’d also keep an eye on the wider picture: inspections, insurance, voids, major works and the odd acquisition or disposal.

We’re looking for someone with solid commercial property management experience behind them, three years or more, and ideally MRICS or well on the way. You’ll need to be comfortable with the numbers and the lease detail, and confident enough to push back on a tenant, or advise a client when the answer isn’t the easy one. Some line management of juniors may come with the role, and there’s room to spot opportunities to bring in more work if that’s your thing. A good handle on ESG would be a bonus.
