Job Summary Health care assistant
We are looking for several health care assistants to work across schools in Solihull and Selly Oak in Birmingham, working term time from 8.40am-3.10pm Mon-Fri. School in Solihull is both Primary and Secondary aged pupils whilst School in Selly Oak is Secondary age.
The health care assistant works in a fast-paced school environment, supporting children and young people aged between 4–19 with complex health needs and learning disabilities with their personal care, and wellbeing needs to ensure safe and inclusive access to education.
The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team and under the supervision of the Nursing Management structure at EL&S, the role delivers high-quality, person-centred care, including assistance with daily activities, delegated clinical tasks, physiotherapy support, emergency first aid, safeguarding, and keeping up to date accurate records.
The post holder promotes dignity, independence, and inclusion, while actively contributing to a safe, supportive, and nurturing school community.
