Key Stage 2 Teacher – Specialist Setting
This specialist school in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Key Stage 2 Teacher to join its teaching team, working with pupils who require additional support with their learning and development. This is an excellent opportunity for a Primary-trained teacher who enjoys working in a smaller, more personalised setting and is confident adapting the curriculum to meet individual needs.
The successful Key Stage 2 Teacher will create a structured, engaging classroom environment where pupils can develop academically, socially and emotionally. Strong classroom management, patience and the ability to build positive relationships are essential.
You will work closely with Teaching Assistants and specialist colleagues, ensuring pupils receive consistent support throughout the school day.

Job Role:
- Teach a Key Stage 2 class within a specialist setting
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Primary curriculum
- Adapt teaching to meet individual learning and additional needs
- Create clear routines, expectations and a positive classroom environment
- Build strong and trusting relationships with pupils
- Manage behaviour calmly, consistently and effectively
- Support pupils' confidence, independence and engagement
- Monitor progress and adapt learning accordingly
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants and wider school staff
- Contribute to the wider development and wellbeing of pupils
- Qualified Teacher Status or recognised teaching qualification
- Previous experience teaching Key Stage 2
- Strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs
- A patient, resilient and consistent approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
