Product Designer - #2162866

Robert Walters is working in partnership with a UK digital design business. They specialize in support product teams designing UX across a range of industries with a global customer base. They range from working with start-ups, scale-ups and global enterprise businesses. Due to continued growth, they are keen to grow out the Product Design team and looking to appoint a Product Designer across mid-level to senior appointments.

The opportunity for Product Designer will be based out of the Birmingham offices with a relaxed hybrid model (approx. 1 days a month) paying a competitive salary range based on experience.

As an experienced Product Designer you will have experience in leading or designing ship features for client products across web and native mobile - you will work with well-known brands across sport, media and betting.

Product Designer: Duties

• Own features and flows within a client project, from sketches and wireframes through to high-fidelity UI and developer handover
• Design native iOS and Android screens that follow platform patterns and feel fast & familiar
• Build interactive prototypes to test ideas with users and stakeholders
• Use AI tools day to day to explore options, speed up production, prototype and tidy up specs and content
• Build with and contribute to design systems, working with our Design Engineer (Design Systems) to keep components consistent
• Join research sessions and usability tests and help turn findings into design changes
• Work directly with clients: be friendly and approachable, present your work in reviews and take feedback on board with confidence

Product Designer: Experience

• 2 - 5+ years in product or UX/UI design, with a portfolio of shipped digital products
• Experience designing native mobile apps, and a working knowledge of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design
• Strong UI craft: typography, layout, hierarchy, interaction and attention to detail
• Confident in Figma, including components, variables and Auto Layout
• Regular use of AI tools in your design work, and an eagerness to keep learning new ones - we'll support you with licences and time to experiment
• Comfortable working from a design system and collaborating with developers
• Great communication and a warm, approachable manner with clients and teammates, plus the confidence to explain your decisions

The permanent opportunity for a Product Designer will pay a competitive salary range based on experience. This is a hybrid role based out of the Birmingham offices (circa 1 day a month).
