Head of Recruitment – Specialist in Ofsted Services

A growing children’s residential care provider is seeking an experienced, values‑driven Head of Recruitment to lead talent strategy across its Ofsted‑regulated services.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who understands the unique demands of children’s residential care and can build high‑performing teams that deliver safe, stable and nurturing environments for young people.

What You’ll Lead

• End‑to‑end recruitment strategy for Ofsted‑regulated homes
• Workforce planning, forecasting and talent pipelines
• Attraction, selection and onboarding of Registered Managers, Deputies, Seniors and Support Workers
• Compliance‑aligned recruitment processes (Ofsted, safer recruitment, safeguarding)
• Employer branding and candidate engagement across the West Midlands
• Partnerships with local authorities, universities, training providers and community networks
• Leadership of the internal recruitment team, driving performance and continuous improvement

What You Bring

• Strong experience recruiting within children’s residential care / Ofsted services
• Deep understanding of safer recruitment, regulatory compliance and workforce standards
• Proven ability to build and scale recruitment functions
• Strategic mindset with hands‑on capability
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work at pace and deliver high‑quality hires in a competitive market
