Field Engineer – Electronic Security

We’re recruiting for an experienced Field Engineer to join an established business within the electronic security sector.

This is a field-based position, predominantly focused on service and maintenance, alongside installation and corrective works across a range of customer sites.

You’ll be working with CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems, so we’re looking for someone with good hands-on technical experience who is confident fault-finding, working independently and dealing directly with customers.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out planned service and maintenance visits
• Fault-finding, diagnosing issues and completing corrective works
• Installing electronic security systems when required
• Working across CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification
• Providing clear updates and accurate documentation following site visits
• Liaising professionally with customers and internal teams
• Managing your workload and travelling between customer sites
• Supporting engineering colleagues on larger projects when required
• Occasional UK travel and overnight stays where necessary

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years' engineering or relevant industry experience
• Experience servicing and/or installing CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems
• ECS/CSCS
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Good organisation and time management
• Confident working independently with minimal supervision
• Professional and customer-focused approach
• Good attention to detail and accurate record keeping
• Flexibility to travel when required

PASMA, IPAF and Emergency First Aid at Work would be advantageous, although additional training can be provided.
