Children’s Registered Manager

A growing children’s residential provider in the Birmingham/Walsall region is seeking an experienced, values‑driven Registered Manager to lead one of their homes supporting young people with EBD/SEMH needs.

This role is ideal for a leader who believes in trauma‑informed practice, therapeutic care, and creating emotionally safe environments where children can feel secure, understood and able to grow.

About the Role

You will lead a children’s home shaped around:

  • Safety and emotional stability: Predictable routines, nurturing relationships and consistent boundaries.
  • Whole‑person support: Focusing on mental health, learning needs, relationships, independence and wellbeing.
  • Connected teamwork: Staff, families and professionals working collaboratively from shared goals.
  • Future‑focused progression: Supporting young people through each stage of their journey with care and clarity.

You will oversee Ofsted compliance, safeguarding excellence, staff development, reflective practice and the delivery of high‑quality therapeutic care.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience as a Registered Manager OR a Deputy ready to step up
  • Strong understanding of trauma, attachment and therapeutic approaches
  • A calm, confident leadership style that builds stable, emotionally safe environments
  • Clear knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children’s residential standards
  • Ability to inspire, support and develop a skilled, compassionate team
  • Level 5 Leadership & Management (or working towards)

What the Provider Offers

  • A therapeutic, relational practice model
  • Support from central teams (QA, compliance, HR, training, operations)
  • Training in trauma‑informed practice, PACE, CPI, PBS and attachment‑based care
  • A culture focused on reflection, learning and reducing restrictive practice
  • Well‑designed homes built around stability, dignity and belonging
  • Genuine progression opportunities within a growing organisation
