Overview of Role
We are seeking a Dealer Parts Liaison to be the day-to-day link between the UK National Sales Company, the parts warehouse and the dealer and workshop network.
Reporting to the UK Parts Sales & Distribution Manager, this is a hands-on role as the parts business is built from the ground up. You will own dealer order flow, back-order follow-up, minimum-stock deployment and the commercial conversation on accessories, tyres, glass and merchandise. You will use the pricing, supply and inventory framework set by the Parts Sales & Distribution Manager, and turn it into consistent performance at dealer level.
The role is based at our HQ in Birmingham, with regular contact with the dealer network and the European and China parts teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary parts contact for dealers and workshops, including order queries, availability and delivery status.
- Collect, check and release dealer and NSC parts orders in line with the demand plan set by the Parts Sales & Distribution Manager.
- Chase missing parts, back-orders and critical vehicle-off-road lines, and keep dealers informed until the part is delivered.
- Deploy and maintain minimum stock quantities by dealer, and flag lines that are over- or under-stocked.
- Support monthly dealer and NSC parts targets, including order intake, fill rate, first-pick contribution and accessory attach.
- Administer returned-parts requests against the agreed policy, and escalate exceptions.
- Support the accessory, tyre and glass programmes at dealer level, including launch packs, pricing queries and sell-in.
- Promote the merchandise range, e-commerce offers and pop-up activity through the dealer network.
- Feed dealer and market feedback into pricing, obsolescence and range reviews.
- Work with the central parts warehouse on order accuracy, packaging issues and dealer complaints.
- Help dealers use the parts ordering tools, and support simple training on process and policy.
- Maintain accurate records in Excel and the parts system (SAP or equivalent), and produce the weekly dealer parts pack.
- Escalate supply, customs or systems issues that sit outside the liaison remit to the Parts Sales & Distribution Manager.
Competency & Qualifications
- A recognised qualification or relevant experience in automotive parts, aftersales or wholesale distribution.
- Confident user of Excel and Microsoft Office; exposure to SAP, a DMS or a parts ordering portal is an advantage.
- Comfortable with order status, back-orders, supersessions and basic parts terminology.
- Accurate and numerate, with the discipline to keep dealer records clean.
- Able to build practical relationships with dealer parts managers and warehouse contacts.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including difficult availability conversations.
- Self-motivated, organised and able to work to fixed cut-offs in a start-up environment.
- Customer-satisfaction minded, and comfortable escalating when a dealer is at risk.
- Interest in how digital ordering, e-commerce and accessories can grow the parts business.
What We Offer
- A hands-on role at the start of the UK parts network, with a clear path as the dealer base grows.
- A diverse, multinational team.
- Start-up energy within secure corporate structures.
- A competitive, rewarding compensation package, based on your qualifications and experience.
