Are you a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time role in a supportive primary school?

We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Northfield seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and make a lasting impact on their educational journey.

The Role:
Provide one-to-one support and small group interventions for pupils with SEND.
Support children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs.
Adapt classroom activities to meet individual learning requirements.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support plans.
Encourage participation, independence and positive behaviour.
Support pupils both academically and socially throughout the school day.
Build strong, positive relationships to help pupils develop confidence and reach their potential.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working in a primary school or supporting children with SEND.
A patient, nurturing and positive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Understanding of inclusive learning practices.
Ability to remain calm and resilient when supporting pupils with additional needs.
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
