Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Solihull. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone who is committed to helping pupils achieve both academically and personally.

The Role:
Provide one-to-one support and small group interventions for pupils with SEND.
Support children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language difficulties.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans.
Adapt learning activities to meet pupils' individual needs and learning styles.
Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in lessons.
Promote positive behaviour and support pupils with emotional regulation.
Assist with academic, social and emotional development throughout the school day.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant.
Experience supporting children within a primary school setting.
Knowledge of SEND and strategies to support pupils effectively.
Patient, caring and resilient approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
