Birmingham City Centre | £28,000 - £32,000 + uncapped commission

The opportunity

We are recruiting for a successful, fast-growing Birmingham business looking to add several proven Sales Consultants to its commercial team. This is a genuine new-business telesales role for people who enjoy prospecting, opening doors, overcoming objections and closing deals.

You will be joining an ambitious, high-energy sales environment where performance is recognised and rewarded. The role combines outbound prospecting with consultative selling, relationship building and early-life account management, giving you ownership from first conversation through to a successful customer launch.

What you’ll be doing

• Making high-volume outbound calls to new prospects and identifying commercial opportunities.
• Understanding customer needs and presenting the most appropriate solution.
• Confidently challenging and influencing decision-makers to move opportunities forward.
• Overcoming objections, negotiating and converting interest into new business.
• Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline and managing your activity through CRM.
• Working to clear KPIs and sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
• Upselling additional products and services where appropriate.
• Building strong client relationships and supporting new customers through their initial onboarding period.
• Using data, activity levels and commercial insight to maximise conversion and performance.

What we’re looking for

• At least 2 years’ sales experience, ideally within an outbound or new-business environment.
• A track record of working to targets and KPIs with a strong focus on conversion.
• Confident telephone manner with the resilience to handle objections and keep pushing for the sale.
• Highly competitive, driven and motivated by achieving and exceeding targets.
• Strong organisation and diary management skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of activity.
• Commercially aware, quick to learn and comfortable taking on detailed product information.
• Comfortable using CRM systems and working with sales data.
• A positive team player who can also take ownership of individual performance.
