We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Attendance Officer to work across our campuses, supporting pupils, families and professionals to remove barriers to attendance and promote positive engagement.

About the Role

This is a key safeguarding and pupil-support role. The Attendance Officer will monitor attendance and punctuality, respond to absence, carry out home visits, build constructive relationships with parents and carers, lead Early Help and multi-agency work where required, support campus routines and maintain accurate records. The postholder will help create a safe, structured and nurturing environment in which learners are supported to return to and remain engaged with education.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily attendance and punctuality across all campuses.
• Carry out first-day absence calls and escalate safeguarding concerns.
• Conduct home visits to ensure pupil safety and encourage a return to school.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support attendance.
• Lead Early Help plans and multi-agency meetings where required.
• Support registration and behaviour routines on campus.
• Maintain accurate records using Bromcom and CPOMS.
• Liaise with external agencies, including Social Care, the Police and CAMHS.
• Represent the school at multi-agency meetings and case conferences.
