About the Role

Hays are working in partnership with a local authority to recruit a Local Offer Website Coordinator to support the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) service. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive professional to play a key role in ensuring families, children, young people, and professionals have access to accurate, accessible, and up-to-date information through the Birmingham Local Offer website.

Working closely with SEND Relationship colleagues and delivery teams, you will act as the day-to-day link between the Directorate and SEND services, leading the coordination, collation, and publication of information that supports statutory requirements and promotes effective engagement with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the collection, review, and publication of information on the Birmingham Local Offer website.
• Ensure all website content is accurate, up-to-date, accessible, and compliant with current Local Offer guidance, legislation, and best practice.
• Support compliance with the Children and Families Act, Local Offer Regulations, and SEND Code of Practice.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the Directorate, SEND services, and key stakeholders regarding Local Offer content and updates.
• Monitor website usage, gather feedback from users, and analyse performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Produce reports and insights for senior management on website engagement, effectiveness, and user feedback.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, children, young people, education providers, NHS partners, family services, adult services, and voluntary sector organisations.
• Encourage partner organisations to actively promote and contribute to the Local Offer, providing guidance, resources, and communication materials where required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, accessibility, and reach of the Local Offer.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience of coordinating websites, online content, communications, or information management activities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience of analysing data, feedback, and website performance information to produce meaningful reports.
• The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• A good understanding of accessibility standards and the importance of providing clear, user-focused information.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and content management systems.
• Knowledge of SEND services, local government, education, health, social care, or family support services would be advantageous.
