The Company

This is a boutique technical events business, Birmingham-based, with its own warehouse of kit and a specialist team spanning technical, project and account management. They deliver corporate events across the UK, Europe and further afield. People tend to join and stay, which says something about how the place runs. The business is growing, and this role exists because that growth needs more project capacity.

The Role

The Technical Events Project Manager takes full ownership of live event delivery, leading projects from initial brief through to on-site execution, managing clients, suppliers, timelines and budgets across a varied corporate calendar.

- Own event delivery end to end, from brief to load-out

- Build and manage client relationships across a portfolio of corporate accounts

- Prepare quotes and manage project budgets commercially

- Coordinate internal technical teams, freelancers and suppliers

- Manage project timelines and keep stakeholders informed at every stage

- Problem-solve on site when plans need to flex under pressure

- Support sales in scoping and pricing new project enquiries

The Candidate

The right person for this Technical Events Project Manager role has hands-on experience managing live or corporate events from start to finish, with a track record of keeping clients happy, timelines on track and budgets intact. You know how to hold a room with a client and how to hold a project together when things shift on site.

A background in AV or technical events production is beneficial but not essential; candidates coming from venue-based delivery, conference coordination or broader corporate event management are very welcome, provided the project ownership and client-facing experience is there. The right Technical Events Project Manager will bring drive as well as experience, and the appetite to grow with a business that is actively expanding.
