Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:00

Our client is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to support their operations in Birmingham. This exciting opportunity is ideal for individuals with a strong background in inventory control and logistics, ready to contribute to a dynamic team within the life sciences sector!

Key Responsibilities:
As a Material Handler, the primary focus will be on warehouse and logistics activities, including:

• Completing daily cycle-count lists efficiently.
• Physically locating and accurately counting inventory items.
• Verifying part numbers and storage locations to ensure accuracy.
• Recording physical count quantities and performing recounts as necessary.
• Flagging discrepancies for prompt investigation and resolution.
• Checking stock-location accuracy and identifying misplaced or incorrectly labelled inventory.
• Supporting inventory clean-up and location-control activities.
• Assisting with physical inventory and audit preparation tasks.
• Collaborating with the inventory team to maintain routine inventory-control tasks.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in inventory counting is essential.
• A strong attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, while adhering to manual-handling requirements.

Work Environment:

• The role involves working in various warehouse/storage areas, including environments with temperature-controlled storage (e.g., freezers at -20 degrees and cold rooms +2 - +8).
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided, including safety shoes and hi-vis attire where necessary.
