About the Business

An exciting opportunity to join a high-growth, PE-backed financial services organisation during a significant period of expansion. The business is highly acquisitive, with an ambitious growth strategy and a strong pipeline of opportunities.

Operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment, the organisation is continuing to scale both organically and through acquisition. This role offers the opportunity to join a commercial, growth-focused finance function and work closely with senior leadership during an exciting stage of the company’s journey.

Role Details

• Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC)
• Salary: £60,000–£65,000
• Location: Birmingham City Centre
• Working Pattern: Initially on-site during onboarding, moving to 3–4 days per week in the office thereafter.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow and reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll, supplier payments, invoicing and credit control.
• Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and financial controls.
• Liaise with auditors, accountants and external providers.
• Provide financial analysis and insight to support business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Support the Finance Director and senior leadership with financial planning and strategy.

Essential Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience within financial services, ideally IFA or wealth management.
• Knowledge of FCA regulations and financial compliance.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and analytical skills.
• Confident using accounting and financial reporting systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
