WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR – TYSELEY, BIRMINGHAM – £31,500 PER ANNUM/ PERMANANT POSITION

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our well-established client based in Tyseley, Birmingham on a full-time permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of a busy wholesale distribution operation, leading warehouse teams and ensuring picking, despatch, stock management and quality standards are consistently achieved.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a Warehouse Team Leader, Distribution Supervisor or Logistics Supervisor.

Rates of Pay:

• £31,500 per annum

Shift Pattern:

• Shift 1
• Monday to Tuesday: 08:00am to 5:00pm
• Wednesday to Thursday: 08:00am to 4:00pm
• Friday: 08:00am to 3:30pm
• Shift 2
• Monday to Thursday: 10:30am to 7:00pm
• Friday: 11:30am to 7:00pm
• Full-time permanent position

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Warehouse Supervisor are:

• Supervising designated warehouse teams on a day-to-day basis
• Planning and coordinating the timely picking and despatch of wholesale products
• Ensuring team objectives and agreed KPIs are achieved
• Ensuring deliveries are checked and receipted accurately and efficiently
• Managing stock safely, accurately and within required timescales
• Maintaining high standards of product and service quality
• Completing quality inspections, including Goods In checks
• Investigating quality issues and supporting corrective and preventative actions
• Supporting preparation for external quality audits
• Ensuring company quality procedures and processes are followed
• Implementing and maintaining health and safety procedures within your area
• Carrying out health and safety audits and inspections
• Ensuring safe manual handling, PPE, machinery use, stacking and storage procedures are followed
• Maintaining high standards of warehouse housekeeping
• Liaising with maintenance teams regarding machinery and equipment
• Training, developing, mentoring and supporting members of the warehouse team
• Monitoring staffing and resource requirements
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, productivity and efficiency
• Communicating effectively with other departments regarding deliveries, quality and customer requirements
• Completing required administration and reporting accurately and on time

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Warehouse Supervisor, you will need:

• Minimum two years' supervisory experience within a similar environment
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to use your own initiative
• Experience ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
• Customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive and proactive attitude
• Full clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle
