Our client is a well-established manufacturer of aerospace components, supplying directly into OEMs including Rolls-Royce and Airbus, names that demand nothing less than excellence.

As Quality Manager, you'll hold overall ownership of the quality function on site, leading a small, dedicated team of quality engineers and inspectors while representing quality at the very top of the business.

You'll sit as a member of the senior management team, shaping quality strategy, driving a right-first-time culture and acting as the key point of contact for OEM customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a small team of quality engineers and inspectors, setting standards and supporting their professional growth
• Take full ownership of the site's quality management system (QMS), ensuring ongoing compliance with AS9100 and customer-specific requirements
• Act as the senior quality interface with OEM customers including Rolls-Royce and Airbus, managing relationships, programme reviews and customer audits
• Oversee the non-conformance process, driving root cause analysis, corrective action and closure of quality issues in a timely manner
• Chair management review meetings and report quality performance metrics to the senior leadership team
• Shape and deliver the site's quality strategy, embedding continuous improvement into day-to-day operations
• Support new product introductions (NPI) and production part approval processes (PPAP/FAI) for OEM programmes
• Manage internal and external audit schedules, including third-party certification audits
• Play an active role in senior management decision-making, contributing to business strategy, investment and growth plans
• Champion a culture of quality ownership across production, engineering and the wider workforce

What We're Looking For

• Proven quality management or senior quality engineering experience within aerospace, motorsport, precision engineering or another highly regulated sector
• In-depth working knowledge of AS9100 and quality management system leadership
• Experience of managing or supervising a team, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop others
• Confidence in dealing directly with OEM customers and representing the business at programme and audit level
• Strong understanding of aerospace quality requirements, including FAI, PPAP and full traceability
• Excellent problem-solving capability — 8D, 5 Whys, root cause analysis — and the credibility to drive action across departments
• A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, happy to roll their sleeves up when the situation demands it
• Ideally, experience supplying into Rolls-Royce, Airbus or similar tier-one OEMs
