Location: Birmingham - Yardley Wood, Kings Heath, Moseley & Oldbury
Salary: £28,800 basic + £70 per sleep-in + overtime
Potential Earnings: Approx. £38,040 per annum based on 11 sleep-ins per month
Hours: 160 hours per month | Approx. 11 shifts
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

We are recruiting an experienced Team Leader to join established children's residential homes across Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker or Team Leader who is confident leading shifts, supervising staff and supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

The Role

You will:

• Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home
• Supervise, guide and support Residential Support Workers
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
• Support emotional wellbeing, behaviour, education and independence
• Ensure care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans are followed
• Manage challenging situations and support de-escalation
• Complete and oversee records, reports and handovers
• Work alongside social workers, education, health professionals and families
• Support management with Ofsted compliance and high standards of care
• Deputise for senior management when required

Hours & Pay

You will work 160 hours per month, approximately 11 shifts. Typical shifts are 8am-11pm, followed by a sleep-in where scheduled.

Sleep-ins are paid at £70 each. Based on approximately 11 sleep-ins per month, potential annual earnings are around £38,040, before overtime.

Shifts vary each week, so full flexibility for weekdays, weekends, Bank Holidays and sleep-ins is essential.

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year's senior experience within a children's residential home
• Experience leading shifts and supervising/supporting staff
• Strong safeguarding and behaviour management knowledge
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Flexible to work across Birmingham homes when required
