Global Finance Operations Lead - #2150470

RM Recruit is delighted to be partnering with our West Midlands based international charity to recruit a Global Finance Operations Lead.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a professionally qualified accountant with significant international finance experience, looking to join a purpose-led organisation working across multiple countries and supporting communities through humanitarian and development programmes.

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Corporate Services, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight across global finance operations, ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, risk management and performance.

Main duties include:

• Leading geographically dispersed finance teams.
• Overseeing financial management across international country and regional operations.
• Delivering consolidated financial reporting and analysis to senior leadership.
• Strengthening financial controls, compliance and risk management.
• Developing and coaching finance teams across different regions.
• Supporting strategic decision-making through high-quality financial insight.
• Driving continuous improvement, digital finance initiatives and operational efficiency.
• Working closely with senior stakeholders, auditors, donors and international programme teams.
• Undertaking regular international travel as required.

As the ideal candidate, you will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICMA or equivalent) with strong senior finance experience within an international NGO, charity or global organisation. Proven experience and knowledge of financial reporting, controls, compliance, governance and risk and experience leading geographically dispersed teams will hold you in good stead. Experience with Power BI/Tableau, complex balance sheet reconciliations or additional languages would be advantageous however not essential.

The role is working at their offices up to three times per week however a degree of further flexibility can be afforded to the ideal candidate.
