LED / Digital Signage Field Service Technician - #2150179

£35,000 - £38,000 + Overtime + Company Van

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to cover Birmingham and the wider Midlands, carrying out reactive and planned maintenance across a range of digital signage, LED displays, video walls and commercial display systems.

This is a field-based position suited to someone with a strong technical mindset who enjoys fault-finding, working independently and getting equipment back up and running at the first opportunity.

You'll be provided with a company van, tools, uniform and full training, with overtime opportunities available.

Reporting into the Technical Service team, you will be responsible for:

• Reactive and planned maintenance of digital signage, LED displays, video walls and standalone commercial displays, both indoor and outdoor
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective on-site repairs
• Working with display hardware, AV equipment, basic electrical systems, networks and computer hardware/software
• Taking a first-time-fix approach wherever possible
• Working independently across Birmingham and the Midlands
• Managing tools and spare parts held within your company vehicle
• Safely operating access equipment and tools
• Managing work permits, security passes and individual customer site requirements
• Providing clear reports and photographs following site visits
• Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and site housekeeping
• Building strong relationships with the wider technical and service teams

Ideally, you'll have previous experience within digital signage, LED, AV, telecoms, electrical/electronic maintenance or a similar field-service environment.

You'll also need:

• Experience diagnosing and resolving technical faults
• Experience working with display, AV or computer hardware/software
• A good understanding of networks and basic IT
• Basic electrical knowledge and confidence working around electrical equipment
• Confidence working at height, including ladders and podiums
• A practical, hands-on approach to fault-finding
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A full UK driving licence
• Flexibility to travel across the Midlands, including occasional longer-distance travel

IPAF certification would be advantageous, although relevant training can be provided.

Experience within digital out-of-home advertising (DOOH), signage or telecommunications would also be particularly useful.

Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm

There will be occasional out-of-hours work for scheduled maintenance, with overtime opportunities available.

The position is primarily field-based across Birmingham and the Midlands. Our offices are based in Kent, so occasional travel to the office for meetings or training may be required.
