Enforcement Operations Manager - #2148927

Contract: 6 months
Location: Hybrid / Office Based (as required)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Enforcement Team Manager to lead frontline enforcement operations and regulatory services. This role requires a strong people manager with a proven background in enforcement, compliance, investigation, and public protection activities.

The successful candidate will provide operational leadership, manage enforcement teams, and ensure services are delivered effectively, lawfully, and in line with organisational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop enforcement teams to deliver high-quality services.
• Oversee investigations, compliance activity, enforcement operations, and case management.
• Ensure enforcement activity is compliant with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Manage performance, productivity, and service delivery targets across operational teams.
• Provide coaching, supervision, and professional development to staff.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, partner agencies, elected members, and the public.
• Support complex investigations, prosecutions, and enforcement actions where required.
• Develop operational plans and service improvement initiatives.
• Monitor budgets, resources, and operational performance.
• Prepare reports, briefings, and recommendations for senior management.
• Manage risks and ensure appropriate governance arrangements are in place.

Essential Experience

• Significant management experience within an enforcement, regulatory, compliance, or policing environment.
• Proven experience leading operational teams and managing staff performance.
• Strong understanding of investigation techniques, evidence gathering, and enforcement processes.
• Experience managing complex cases and dealing with challenging situations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and partnership-working skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions and exercise professional judgement.
• Experience delivering service improvements and operational change.
