Control Panel Wireman - #2148448

We are looking for a Control Panel Wireman to join a growing industrial controls and automation team. This role is hands-on, focusing on wiring, assembling, and testing industrial control panels. The ideal candidate will have experience working with low-voltage control systems and industrial automation components.

Key Responsibilities for Control Panel Wireman

• Wire and assemble control circuits according to schematics.
• Route, terminate, and crimp cables, including lugs and connectors.
• Connect VFDs, relays, contactors, and PLC terminals.
• Work with PLCs, HMIs, terminal blocks, control transformers, and safety circuits.
• Apply knowledge of electrical panel wiring and LV switchgear principles.
• Assist with panel build, testing, and commissioning preparation.
• Ensure work meets BS 7671 / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and company quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience for Control Panel Wireman

Essential:

• Experience in industrial control panel wiring and assembly.
• Ability to work from schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical drawings.
• Experience with LV switchgear, VFDs, PLCs, relays, and contactors.
• Understanding of control circuits and safety systems.
• Knowledge of crimping, lugs, cable routing, and terminations.
• Electrical training or apprenticeship preferred (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

• Experience with PLC/HMI installation.
• Experience working on industrial automation or instrumentation projects.
• Familiarity with international control panel standards.
