Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join a leading housing organisation, providing advice and support across a varied and complex ER caseload.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload covering disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance and absence matters
• Provide clear and practical ER advice to managers
• Support workplace investigations, hearings, meetings and appeals
• Advise on processes, evidence, timescales and potential risks
• Work closely with managers, People & Culture teams and trade union representatives
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation
• Support early resolution through informal conversations, mediation and agreed action plans

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in an Employee Relations, HR Advisory or HR Casework role
• Strong experience managing complex ER cases
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law and the ACAS Code
• Experience advising managers on sensitive people matters
• Experience working with trade unions or employee representatives
• Strong investigation, analytical and report-writing skills
• Understanding of disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence processes
• Knowledge of the Equality Act and reasonable adjustments
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
• Experience within social housing, public sector or another regulated environment would be beneficial
