Job Overview
A Senior Fire Engineer is required to lead complex fire engineering projects from design through to delivery in Birmingham. The role suits a degree-qualified fire engineering professional with senior-level consultancy experience delivering fire-engineered solutions for UK projects across new-build and existing buildings, working alongside clients, architects and statutory authorities.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead fire engineering projects from concept to completion

• Develop fire strategies, reports, calculations and technical documentation

• Undertake smoke, evacuation and CFD modelling

• Complete fire dynamics and structural fire assessments

• Mentor junior engineers and support technical development

You will review building designs, develop compliant fire-engineered solutions and participate in client and design team meetings. The role also involves applying UK fire regulations, guidance and project-specific requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

• Degree in Fire Engineering or related engineering discipline

• Senior-level fire engineering consultancy experience

• Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartership

• Experience delivering UK fire-engineered building solutions

• Strong client-facing, written and verbal communication skills

You should be confident managing multiple projects while working independently and collaboratively. Experience across varied sectors, including new-build and existing buildings, is preferred.

Salary & Benefits

• £55,000 - £70,000 dependent on experience
