Description
Key Responsibilities- Lead month-end and year-end reporting processes
- Maintain ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and financial control accounts
- Oversee VAT compliance, returns, and HMRC requirements
- Support statutory accounts preparation and external audits
- Provide technical accounting expertise across the finance team
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Support treasury management and cashflow forecasting
- Drive improvements to financial processes, controls, and reporting
- Lead, coach, and develop finance team members
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
Profile
About YouWe're looking for a technically strong finance professional who combines accounting expertise with strong leadership skills.
You will ideally have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- Significant experience within a financial accounting environment
- Strong knowledge of statutory reporting and financial controls
- Experience managing complex balance sheet reconciliations
- A proven background in VAT compliance and reporting
- Previous leadership experience within finance teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement
Experience within a large, complex organisation is essential, while exposure to ERP systems and the not-for-profit sector would be advantageous.
Job Offer
