The successful candidate will play a key role in fund transfer reconciliations, project financial monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder engagement across a network of international offices.

Description
The International Accounts Officer will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial management of international programmes, whilst ensuring compliance with internal controls and donor requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and reconciling fund transfers between headquarters and international offices.
- Investigating and resolving ledger discrepancies and ensuring financial records remain accurate and up to date.
- Preparing and reviewing transfer reports and supporting the processing of approved fund transfer journals.
- Monitoring project documentation to ensure budgets, agreements, reports, and supporting records are complete and appropriately maintained.
- Ensuring project-related invoices and financial transactions are accurately reflected within the finance system.
- Supporting cash flow reporting, financial analysis, and budget monitoring activities.
- Producing reconciliations and variance analysis to support effective financial decision-making.
- Building strong working relationships with regional finance teams and stakeholders across international offices.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function and providing wider departmental support when required
Profile
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- AAT qualification or active studies towards ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or a similar professional accounting qualification.
- Previous experience within a finance or accounting environment.
- Experience of financial compliance, donor-funded projects, or working with partner organisations.
- Strong ledger reconciliation and financial reporting skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with complex accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
