Reed Further Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Inclusion Support Worker to support learners facing barriers to education, attendance and engagement.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in SEND, residential care, youth work, pastoral support, behaviour mentoring, safeguarding, family support, social care or youth justice services who are passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.

About the Role
You will provide targeted support to learners who may be experiencing challenges affecting their participation and progress in education, including:
- SEND needs
- Mental health and wellbeing concerns
- Care experience
- Youth justice involvement
- Social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Attendance and engagement issues
Working closely with curriculum staff, safeguarding teams, families and external agencies, you will help remove barriers to learning and create positive outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to vulnerable learners.
- Support attendance, engagement and wellbeing.
- Work with learners with SEND, mental health needs and care experience.
- Liaise with families, safeguarding teams and external agencies.
- Support reintegration following periods of absence.
- Maintain accurate records and support plans.
Requirements
- Experience supporting young people or vulnerable adults.
- Background in SEND, residential care, youth work, social care or similar.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusion.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to complete a new one asap
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant field such as Health & Social Care, Youth Work, Education, Counselling, or similar
Desirable
- Trauma-informed practice experience.
- SEND or SEMH knowledge.
- Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, Counselling, Youth Work or Social Care.
