Hours: 40 hours per week - flexible start and finish times

Our client is a well-established, family-run signage and graphics manufacturer with over 25 years of industry experience. They work with some of the UK's biggest and most recognisable brands, delivering signage projects from initial design and manufacture through to installation.

With approximately 50 employees they have a strong reputation within the signage industry and continue to invest in their people, equipment and capabilities.

The business operates across a wide range of sectors including retail, commercial, property, construction, large-format print and national roll-out projects, with manufacturing carried out in-house.

We are looking for an experienced Axis CNC Router Operator to join the manufacturing team. This is a hands-on production role working with CNC routing equipment to manufacture a variety of components and finished products for the signage and display industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the CNC router efficiently and accurately, ensuring work is produced to the required quality standards and within agreed production timescales.

Responsibilities:

  • Operating an Axis CNC router within a busy manufacturing environment
  • Setting and operating the machine to produce components accurately and efficiently
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and production specifications
  • Loading and preparing materials for machining
  • Checking finished work for quality and accuracy
  • Carrying out basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting where required
  • Working with a range of materials used within signage and display manufacture
  • Ensuring jobs are completed within production deadlines
  • *Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Working closely with other members of the production and manufacturing teams
  • Following all company health & safety and quality procedures

We are looking for someone with previous experience operating a CNC router, ideally within signage, graphics, POS, display, joinery, fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous CNC router operating experience
  • Experience working from technical drawings or cutting files
  • Good attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
  • Experience working with sheet materials and/or plastics
  • The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • A practical, hands-on approach to manufacturing
  • Good understanding of health & safety within a production environment
  • A reliable and positive attitude
  • The ability to work as part of a wider production team
  • Experience within the signage, POS, display or large-format graphics industry would be particularly advantageous.
