Refrigeration Engineer

Midlands Region | Up to £45,000 + Overtime

The Role
An established independent engineering company with several decades of experience in the refrigeration and cooling industry is looking to strengthen its service team with an experienced Refrigeration Engineer.
Covering the Midlands, the business works with a varied customer base across hospitality, leisure, retail, food service and industrial environments.
A key advantage of this position is the relatively localised nature of the work, meaning you can spend less time travelling long distances and more time enjoying a better work-life balance.

What You'll Be Working On
This is predominantly a commercial refrigeration service role, with some air conditioning work also included.

Your workload can include:

• Commercial chillers and freezer equipment
• Walk-in cold rooms and freezer systems
• Retail display refrigeration
• Ice-making equipment
• Beverage and cellar cooling systems
• Split, VRF and VRV air conditioning systems

You will carry out a mixture of planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs and reactive service work across the Midlands region.
About You We're looking for a Refrigeration Engineer with solid commercial experience and the technical ability to work independently.
You'll need:

• Current F-Gas certification
• Practical experience servicing commercial refrigeration systems
• Strong fault-finding and repair skills
• Refrigeration & Air Conditioning qualifications
• Full UK driving licence

Salary & Benefits

• Basic salary up to £45,000
• Travel paid from home to site
• 40-hour standard working week
• Enhanced overtime rates
• 1 week in 5 on-call rota with standby payment
