Salary: £47,000 – £55,000 per annum | Full-time or part-time | Monday–Friday
Are you an experienced clinician with a background in autism assessment?
We are working with an established healthcare provider looking for a Children & Young People’s ASD Assessor to join their clinical team and support high-quality autism assessments for children and young people.
The Role You will be part of a multidisciplinary service, working with families and other professionals to understand each child’s needs and reach clear, evidence-based outcomes.

Are you an experienced clinician with a background in autism assessment?
We are working with an established healthcare provider looking for a Children & Young People’s ASD Assessor to join their clinical team and support high-quality autism assessments for children and young people.
The Role You will be part of a multidisciplinary service, working with families and other professionals to understand each child’s needs and reach clear, evidence-based outcomes.
The role will include:
- Completing structured autism assessments for children and young people.
- Gathering information from parents, schools and other professionals.
- Reviewing developmental history and clinical information.
- Working with the wider MDT to support diagnostic decisions.
- Writing clear, professional and neurodiversity-affirming reports.
- Discussing assessment outcomes with families in a sensitive and accessible way.
- Current NMC, HCPC or another relevant professional registration.
- Experience working within neurodevelopmental, CAMHS or paediatric services.
- Experience contributing to or completing autism assessments for children and young people.
- Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to work confidently within a structured pathway.
- £47,000 – £55,000 salary
- NHS-aligned pension
