Theatre Logistics Support Assistant

Location: Birmingham (B31)
Salary: £23,500 per annum
? Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (1-hour lunch break)
Contract: Permanent

Brook Street is currently recruiting on behalf of a healthcare provider in Birmingham for a Theatre Logistics Support Assistant. This role is ideal for someone with a background in the medical or healthcare sector who can help ensure departments remain fully stocked with the equipment, consumables, and supplies required to deliver excellent patient care.

About You

• Physically fit and able to safely move stock, equipment, and supplies as required
• Familiar with medical equipment and healthcare consumables
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Able to carry out regular stock checks and place orders when required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with hospital staff and suppliers
• Proactive problem-solver with a flexible approach to work
• Able to follow procedures and maintain accurate records

Key Duties

• Distribute incoming stock and equipment to the appropriate departments
• Complete all necessary paperwork to accurately track stock movements and deliveries
• Follow strict systems, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Conduct regular stock checks and report shortages where necessary
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of stores and assigned areas
• Dispose of waste and packaging in line with housekeeping procedures
• Liaise with couriers and external suppliers regarding deliveries, collections, and returns
• Support the smooth day-to-day operation of theatre logistics and stock management
