Shape Strategic Decisions Through Data, Insight and Research

Are you an experienced analyst, performance specialist, researcher or business intelligence professional looking for a role where you can genuinely influence organisational performance?

We are seeking a Performance & Insight Business Partner to play a pivotal role in driving evidence-based decision making across our business. This is a newly created role designed to bridge the gap between performance reporting, customer insight and strategic project delivery, offering a rare opportunity to shape how data and research influence decision making across the organisation.

Working closely with senior leaders, operational teams and external partners, you will provide high-quality reporting, customer insight, research findings and constructive challenge that helps drive continuous improvement and better outcomes for customers.

This is an exciting time to join as the organisation continues to invest in technology, data capabilities and modern ways of working, including the adoption of new reporting and analytics platforms.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are the same in this highly visible, organisation-wide role. You will:

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to understand performance, reporting and insight requirements
  • Lead the production of performance dashboards, scorecards, reports and board-level briefings
  • Analyse trends, risks, opportunities and performance against targets
  • Translate complex data into meaningful business recommendations
  • Lead customer research and insight projects, analysing both quantitative and qualitative feedback
  • Manage relationships with external research providers and technology partners
  • Support major business improvement projects, acting as the Performance & Insight representative
  • Challenge and influence stakeholders constructively to drive improved performance
  • Support regulatory reporting and data quality improvement initiatives
  • Present findings and recommendations confidently to a wide range of audiences

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking to professionals from housing, public sector, private sector or consultancy backgrounds who can demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in performance reporting, business intelligence, data analysis or insight roles
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge senior leaders
  • Experience transforming complex data into actionable business insight
  • Experience delivering research projects, including both quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A proactive, outgoing and adaptable approach
  • Strong technical capability, including Excel and data visualisation tools
  • Experience with Power BI (highly desirable)
  • A curiosity for technology and enthusiasm for learning new systems and ways of working

Why This Opportunity?

This role has been created to help bridge an important gap between performance management, insight and strategic delivery across the organisation.

Initially offered as a fixed-term contract until March 2027, there is a genuine opportunity for the role to become permanent as the function continues to evolve and demonstrate its value.

You'll gain exposure to:

  • Strategic business projects
  • Executive and board-level reporting
  • Customer insight and research programmes
  • Digital transformation initiatives
  • Business improvement and performance management across multiple service areas

About You

You are someone who:

  • Builds credibility quickly with stakeholders
  • Enjoys asking challenging questions to improve outcomes
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve
  • Is comfortable managing multiple projects and competing demands
  • Can confidently communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Loves turning data and customer feedback into meaningful action
