Key Account Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate deep-sea import shipments from initial booking through to final delivery
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, providing regular shipment updates and maintaining strong working relationships
- Liaise with suppliers, shipping lines, hauliers and warehouses to keep shipments moving efficiently
- Create freight jobs and maintain accurate shipment trackers, schedules, documentation and customer records
- Complete and check UK import customs declarations, ensuring duty, deferment and supporting documentation is accurate
- Manage IPAFFS, CHEDs, Port Health requirements, duty reclaims and associated compliance documentation
- Monitor vessel schedules, ETAs and deliveries, proactively resolving delays or operational issues
- Prepare customer reports, shipment updates and management information
- Complete invoicing, costings and landed cost calculations, investigating and resolving billing or duty queries
Key Account Coordinator Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience within deep-sea import freight forwarding is essential
- Experience completing UK import customs declarations
- Confident managing multiple live shipments and working to deadlines
- Strong customer service skills with experience supporting or managing key accounts
- Excellent attention to detail across customs, shipping and compliance documentation
- Confident using spreadsheets and producing reports
- CargoWise experience would be advantageous
- Experience within food imports, including IPAFFS, CHEDs and Port Health requirements, would be highly desirable
