Our client is a growing and well-established business operating within the fire safety and compliance sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Fire Door Surveyor to join their team, covering projects across the Midlands and North West.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in fire door inspections and surveying who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and expanding organisation.

As a Fire Door Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out detailed inspections and surveys of fire doors across a range of commercial and residential properties. You will assess the condition and compliance of fire doors, identify defects and provide accurate reports and recommendations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out fire door inspections and surveys in accordance with relevant standards and legislation
• Assessing fire doors, frames, hardware, glazing, seals and associated components
• Identifying defects, damage and areas of non-compliance
• Producing clear and accurate survey reports
• Taking photographs and maintaining detailed inspection records
• Providing recommendations for remedial works where required
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors and other stakeholders
• Managing your own workload and travelling to sites across the Midlands and North West
• Maintaining a high standard of health, safety and professional conduct

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within fire door surveying, fire safety, passive fire protection, building compliance or a related discipline.

You should have:

• Previous experience inspecting or surveying fire doors
• Good knowledge of fire door components, defects and compliance requirements
• Strong attention to detail and excellent reporting skills
• The ability to work independently and manage your own diary
• Good communication and customer-facing skills
• A professional and conscientious approach
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Midlands and North West
• Relevant qualifications or certifications within fire door inspection, fire safety or passive fire protection would be advantageous.
