About the Role

Are you a proactive organiser who thrives on keeping complex work moving?

As a Senior Case Worker within NRC Operations, you'll be the vital link between our medical experts, internal teams and clients - ensuring cases progress smoothly, reports are delivered on time, and expert relationships are managed with care and confidence.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building trusted relationships and improving how things work, while playing a key role in a growing medico-legal service that is embracing smarter systems, automation and continuous improvement.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a growing specialist medico-legal service with a clear purpose.
  • Build strong relationships with respected medical experts and internal teams.
  • Play a visible role in improving case progression, service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to smarter, more streamlined ways of working, including automation and process improvement.
  • Join a team where organisation, initiative, professionalism and collaboration are genuinely valued.

Job Opportunity

This is a hands-on, relationship-focused role at the heart of NRC Operations. As our Senior Case Worker, you'll help keep complex medico-legal cases moving by coordinating expert input, supporting report progression, managing key relationships, and ensuring work is delivered accurately and on time.

This role is fixed term until the end of May 2027 as maternity cover.

You'll be a trusted point of contact for our medical experts, internal teams and operational colleagues - helping to create clarity, momentum and confidence across each stage of the case journey. From matching experts to cases, monitoring report timelines, resolving issues and spotting potential delays early, you'll play a vital role in making sure our service runs smoothly and professionally.

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, ownership and problem-solving. You'll need to be highly organised, confident communicating with different stakeholders, and comfortable working with systems, trackers and operational workflows. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to smarter ways of working as NRC continues to improve processes, increase visibility and make better use of technology and automation.

We're looking for someone who brings energy, attention to detail and a collaborative approach - someone who takes pride in doing things well, builds strong working relationships, and wants to make a meaningful contribution to a specialist service where quality, responsiveness and trust really matter.

Essential Skills

About You

You may come from a background in operations, case management, administration, healthcare, legal services, medico-legal work, expert liaison or report coordination. More importantly, you'll bring a proactive mindset, strong communication skills and the ability to keep work moving in a busy, deadline-driven environment.

You'll be someone who can manage competing priorities, build confidence with stakeholders, spot issues before they become problems, and take ownership of delivering a high-quality service.

  • Case coordination / case progression experience - able to manage cases from allocation through to report delivery, keeping momentum and chasing next steps.
  • Expert or consultant liaison - confident working with clinicians, experts, consultants or specialist professionals.
  • Report management experience - understanding of report timelines, report quality, amendments, missing information and final delivery standards.
  • Workflow and tracker management - confident maintaining accurate trackers, monitoring deadlines, updating case status and identifying bottlenecks.
  • Strong written communication - able to draft clear, professional updates to experts, colleagues and clients.
  • Diary / availability coordination - able to manage expert availability, capacity and turnaround expectations.
  • Risk and escalation awareness - able to spot delays, gaps or service risks early and escalate appropriately.
  • Data accuracy and documentation control - comfortable working with sensitive information where accuracy, consistency and confidentiality matter.
  • Systems confidence - able to use case management systems, Outlook, Excel/trackers and shared documents; comfortable adapting to new technology.
  • Understanding of medico-legal, healthcare, rehabilitation or legal services environments - desirable, but not necessarily essential.
  • Continuous improvement mindset - able to suggest practical improvements to processes, hand-offs and service visibility.
