Aaron Wallis Sales Recruitment
Territory Sales Manager
Home-Based | Birmingham Territory
£35,000 Basic | £50,000+ OTE (Uncapped) | £600 Monthly Car Allowance + Outstanding Benefits
Looking for a field sales role you'll actually enjoy?
Not all field sales roles are the same.
We're recruiting for one of the UK's most respected organisations supporting small businesses. They have an outstanding reputation, a genuinely supportive culture and a long history of developing successful careers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced field sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing their own territory and winning new business through a consultative approach.
You don't need experience selling memberships.
We're much more interested in your ability to manage a territory, develop a strong pipeline, build long-term client relationships and confidently take opportunities from first conversation through to close.
You could currently be working in financial services, professional services, business services, insurance, telecoms or another B2B environment where success comes from understanding customers, building trust and providing the right solution.
You'll spend your time meeting local business owners, understanding the challenges they face and introducing services that can make a genuine difference to their businesses.
You'll also have the freedom to manage your own diary, work from home when you're not out meeting customers and take real ownership of developing your territory.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of your territory and developing a strong pipeline of new business
- Meeting SME owners and decision-makers face-to-face
- Generating opportunities through networking, referrals and proactive business development
- Taking a consultative approach to understanding each client's needs
- Managing the complete sales process from initial conversation through to close
- Building long-term relationships within the local business community
- Representing the organisation at networking events, exhibitions and local business events
- Consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets
Who We're Looking For
We're open-minded about the sector you've worked in.
What matters is that you can demonstrate successful experience in field sales, territory management and new business development.
You'll ideally be someone who:
- Has a proven track record of developing and managing a sales territory
- Is comfortable generating their own pipeline as well as developing referred opportunities
- Uses a consultative rather than transactional sales approach
- Builds rapport and credibility quickly with business owners and senior decision-makers
- Can demonstrate the drive and resilience required to win new business
- Is confident managing the full sales cycle and closing business
- Is organised and comfortable managing their own diary and territory
- Has a genuine interest in supporting small businesses
- Holds a full UK driving licence
Experience within financial services, insurance, professional services, business services, telecoms or other consultative B2B sales environments could be particularly relevant, but we're happy to consider strong field sales professionals from other sectors.
Why Join?
You'll be joining an organisation with a fantastic reputation, an established brand and a service that genuinely helps small businesses.
You'll receive excellent training and ongoing coaching, while still having the autonomy to run your territory as your own.
There's also a genuinely supportive culture, excellent employee benefits and real opportunities to build a long-term career.
£35,000 basic salary | £50,000+ uncapped OTE | £600 monthly car allowance
Plus:
- 26 days' holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy more
- Excellent pension and healthcare benefits
- Enhanced family-friendly benefits
- Wellbeing support
- Outstanding training and ongoing development
- A collaborative, supportive culture where success is recognised and rewarded
