An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced supply chain and supplier management professional to join a business undergoing significant operational transformation. This is a highly visible role where you'll drive supplier performance, strengthen governance frameworks, and deliver measurable improvements across service, cost, risk, and operational efficiency. This is a high-profile interim role for 3-6 months with hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office.
Your new role
As Supply Chain Governance & Supplier Performance Manager, you will act as the key link between internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics partners and service providers, ensuring robust governance and clear accountability across the supply chain. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing supplier governance and performance management frameworks
- Developing scorecards, review processes and continuous improvement plans
- Converting contractual commitments into measurable operational outcomes
- Managing supplier performance, service issues, risk mitigation and escalation activities
- Working closely with procurement, commercial, legal, finance and operational teams
- Identifying opportunities to improve service levels, reduce costs and enhance supplier value
- Monitoring supply chain risks and ensuring appropriate governance and controls are in place
- Leading performance reviews and driving accountability across supplier networks
This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic decisions while delivering tangible improvements across a complex supply chain environment. What you'll need to succeed
- Significant experience in supplier management, commercial governance, supply chain operations, logistics or procurement
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate contractual obligations into operational performance measures
- Experience developing supplier scorecards, governance forums and performance improvement initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical and financial capabilities
- Experience resolving complex operational issues and managing escalations
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive performance across multiple business functions
