We're currently recruiting for a Midlands Tutor to join a leading professional education provider in Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an accountancy professional looking to develop their career in teaching and education, with training and support provided through a dedicated Tutor Academy.
The RoleAs a Tutor, you'll deliver engaging learning experiences to aspiring finance and accounting professionals, helping learners build the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to progress in their careers.
You'll be responsible for:
- Delivering engaging sessions across face-to-face and live online classrooms
- Teaching across a range of accountancy apprenticeship programmes
- Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and make strong progress
- Providing guidance and support outside scheduled teaching sessions
- Building positive relationships with learners and helping them achieve their goals
- Contributing to the development and improvement of learning materials and programmes
- Continuously developing your own technical knowledge and teaching capability
- Working collaboratively with other tutors and colleagues
We're interested in speaking with qualified or exam-qualified accounting professionals who are passionate about developing others and sharing their knowledge.
Previous teaching, tutoring, training or mentoring experience is preferred, but not essential. Kaplan's Tutor Academy provides support and development to help successful candidates develop their teaching skills.
You could currently be working as an:
- Accountant

You'll ideally have:
- A relevant professional accounting qualification - exam-qualified candidates may also be considered depending on the qualification
- Previous teaching, tutoring, training or mentoring experience is preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- The ability to explain complex information clearly and confidently
- A genuine interest in developing and supporting others
- A strong focus on learner outcomes and quality
- Excellent written communication skills
- The ability to build strong relationships and trust
- A collaborative, team-focused approach
- The flexibility to adapt to changing learner and business needs
- £48,000 - £52,000 salary
- Permanent, full-time position
- Hybrid working - based at the Birmingham training centre when teaching, with home working when not teaching
