As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
-Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across Early Years to Year 6
-Working with individual pupils and small groups to support their learning, development and progress
-Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
-Assisting pupils with varying abilities and learning needs, including those requiring additional support
-Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning activities to enhance pupil engagement
-Working collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
-Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development, helping them to build confidence and reach their full potential
-Assisting with playground duties, school activities, and other responsibilities as required by the school
To be successful in this role, you must:
-Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
-At least one year's experience working in a school setting if you do not hold a relevant qualification
-Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school
-Strong communication and behaviour management skills
-A passion for supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing
-A positive, patient, and flexible approach to working with pupils of varying abilities
-An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one
