Your new school
A Children's Centre which deals with the local community and runs a number if children parent groups. This is a long term temporary role to start as soon as possible and would be Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
Your new job
You will be responsible for managing a busy reception desk and guiding service users to appropriate services available to them. The role will entail signing in visitors, dealing with telephone calls and general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and managing the email inbox.

You will have strong IT skills as you will be using multiple in-house systems.
Whilst your main base will be in Hodge Hill, you will be required to support cover other centres in Alum Rock, Kitts Green and Sutton Coldfield when there are staff absences. You must be a driver with your own car and able to get to the listed locations.

What you'll need to succeed

For this administrator job, you will need to have excellent communication skills and telephone manner with the ability to work in a pressured environment as well as an understanding of the importance of 'Child Protection and Safeguarding' issues when working on a school reception. You will also have recent experience working as a school receptionist with satisfactory references. Any person working in a school must hold an enhanced DBS check.
