As a Digital Portfolio Analyst, Reporting and Metrics, you will play an important role in helping the Department for Transport make informed decisions about its digital investments and services. Working within the Portfolio Management Hub, you will provide high-quality reporting, analysis and insight using digital software and tools that supports effective portfolio management and drives continuous improvement across the organisation.
You will collect, analyse and interpret data relating to portfolio performance, investment outcomes, resource demand and business value. Using a range of digital reporting software, tools and techniques, you will develop dashboards, reports and visualisations that provide clear and actionable insights for senior leaders and governance boards.

- Collect, maintain, and analyse data via digital software on portfolio investment performance, delivery outcomes, and business value realisation.
- Producing clear, accurate, and regular reports, dashboards, and visualisations using digital software and tools for senior stakeholders and governance boards.
- Supporting tracking of benefits, ROI, and planned versus actual investment performance across service lines.
- Maintaining portfolio metrics frameworks, ensuring data consistency and integrity across tracking tools and reporting systems.
- Working with delivery, product, and finance teams to gather and validate data inputs relating to performance, capacity, and financial status.

About You
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:
- Experience supporting the governance, assurance or delivery of portfolios, programmes or projects, with an understanding of how effective governance enables successful outcomes.
- Ability to analyse and interpret performance, financial or portfolio data, using digital software to give insight to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Experience coordinating multiple activities or competing priorities, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of portfolio, programme or project management methodologies, governance frameworks and assurance processes.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and tailor messages for different audiences, including senior stakeholders.
- Experience supporting investment planning, prioritisation, benefits realisation or portfolio reporting.
Essential qualifications:
You must hold at least two of the following qualifications or equivalent at the point of application:
- GOST Foundation held, or working towards
- Agile Project Management Foundation
- APM Project Fundamentals Qualification
- APM Project Management Qualification
- PMI Project Management Professional
- Government Contract Management Foundation qualification
