We are recruiting on behalf of a respected Birmingham-based organisation that provides specialist support services to women facing a range of complex needs. This is an opportunity to join a dedicated team delivering person-centred, trauma-informed support that helps women make positive and sustainable changes in their lives.
The Role
As a Caseworker, you will work directly with women experiencing a variety of challenges, providing practical and emotional support tailored to individual circumstances. You will build trusted relationships, assess needs and risks, develop support plans, and work collaboratively with external agencies to help women achieve positive outcomes.
This role offers a varied caseload and the opportunity to support women across a range of issues, including housing, wellbeing, family relationships, financial hardship, safeguarding concerns, and wider social needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of women with multiple and often complex support needs.
- Undertake assessments and develop personalised support plans.
- Provide advocacy, guidance, and practical support.
- Support women to access appropriate services and community resources.
- Work collaboratively with partner organisations and professionals.
- Attend meetings and act as an advocate where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate case records and outcome data.
- Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns.
- Encourage engagement with support services, development opportunities, and community activities.
About You
We are looking for compassionate, resilient individuals who can build trust quickly and provide high-quality support in a professional and empathetic manner.
Essential:
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults or individuals with complex needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
- Experience of working in a person-centred environment.
- Good record-keeping and administrative skills.
- Strong understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Competent IT skills.
Desirable:
- Experience within support services, housing, social care, health, community services, criminal justice, domestic abuse, or related sectors.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices.
- Understanding of trauma-informed approaches.
- Experience working with multiple agencies and stakeholders.
- Relevant qualification in Health & Social Care, Psychology, Social Work, Criminology, or a related field.
