.NET Developer

Location: Birmingham City Centre (Predominately office based so need to be able to commute in regularly)

Salary: Up to £65,000 based on experience

I'm working with an organisation that is going through a significant technology transformation and investing heavily in the future of its software estate.

This is a genuine greenfield development opportunity where you'll play a key role in designing, building and evolving a new generation of business-critical applications. Rather than spending your time maintaining ageing systems, you'll be helping to create modern solutions from the ground up while contributing to technical strategy, architecture and development best practice.

As part of a growing in-house technology function, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders, influence technical decisions and see the direct impact of your work across the business.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and developing modern applications using .NET technologies
• Building engaging front-end experiences with React and Next.js
• Contributing to architecture decisions and development standards
• Working closely with users and stakeholders to deliver practical solutions
• Helping drive best practices across software engineering, testing and deployment
• Contributing to the evolution of a product-led development culture
• Exploring modern development approaches and tools to improve quality, efficiency and delivery

What we're looking for:

• Strong commercial experience with .NET development
• Solid experience with React and/or Next.js
• A passion for building high-quality, user-focused software
• Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
• The confidence to contribute ideas and influence technical direction

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex or similar
• Experience using modern tooling to improve productivity, code quality and development workflows
• An interest in emerging technologies and continuous improvement
