Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step with a leading housing contractor delivering planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes across the Midlands?

Client Details

We are working with a well-established housing contractor that has secured a significant pipeline of planned works projects, including kitchen and bathroom replacements, windows and doors, roofing, external repairs, decarbonisation works, and wider housing refurbishment programmes. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of these schemes across Birmingham and the surrounding region.

Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the commercial performance of multiple planned works contracts
  • Producing accurate valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
  • Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and account settlements
  • Monitoring project costs, forecasts, and financial reporting
  • Identifying and managing variations and change control processes
  • Supporting operational teams to maximise contract profitability
  • Managing risk and ensuring contractual compliance
  • Building strong relationships with local authority and housing association clients
  • Mentoring and supporting junior commercial team members where required


Profile

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Experience delivering planned maintenance, refurbishment, or social housing contracts
  • Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract
  • Excellent commercial and financial management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
  • Full UK driving licence
