Media and PR Assistant

We are delighted to be supporting our international professional services client for a Media & PR Assistant to join their growing team in Birmingham.

This position is working on a full-time basis, permanent, and offers hybrid working (3 days in the office, and two days WFH) the salary of this position is dependent on experience £28-32k!

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of PR with PR strategy, campaigns and business development initiatives.
• Identify newsworthy stories, PR opportunities and relevant media angles, developing engaging pitches.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and key media contacts.
• Draft and distribute press releases, media briefings and Q&A documents.
• Research new media opportunities and maintain targeted and up-to-date media lists.
• Monitor media coverage and produce clear reports and insights.
• Upload news and PR content to the website, supporting social media activity.
• Assist with podcast production, content and promotion.
• Work closely with internal communications and wider teams to support key business priorities.
• Provide general PR, administrative and ad hoc support across the team.

About You:

• The ideal candidate will have previous PR experience, ideally within an agency or professional services environment.
• Experienced in PR and communications concepts and practices.
• An interest in creating engaging content.
