Overview: Children and Young People Trainer

An opportunity to join an innovative and rapidly growing training provider, we are looking for a CYP professional to join their successful team.


The successful candidate will need to have at least 3 years' occupational experience in a Residential Childcare setting and a L3 CYP related qualification. It is also desirable that you hold your Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33 etc). A UK driving license and use of own vehicle is also essential for this role.


Salary/Benefits: Children and Young People Trainer

  • Salary increases to £30k after 6 months in post

Qualifications and Competencies: Children and Young People Trainer

  • Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, D32, A1 etc)
  • A minimum 3 years' occupational experience within a CYP or Residential Childcare setting
  • A L3 or above qualification in CYP / Residential Childcare
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage own diary
  • Full UK Driving License


Duties: Children and Young People Trainer

  • Train, assess, motivate and support CYP learners on programmes towards achieving CYP qualifications
  • Maximise the use of e-learning and using a variety of assessment methods to ensure learners have the chance to evidence their knowledge in a variety of ways.
  • Support, develop, implement and evaluate approved CYP training materials, promoting standardisation, use approved training methods to develop the learner and utilise every opportunity to supporting them to achieving their qualification in a timely manner.
