Your new role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering electrical building services designs across a variety of projects from concept through to completion. Working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams, you'll be involved in producing calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports, while assisting with the selection of appropriate electrical systems and low-carbon technologies.You'll contribute to project coordination, attend design team meetings and support site inspections throughout the project lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for project delivery while continuing to develop your technical knowledge within a supportive and experienced team.What you'll need to succeed
Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical or Building Services EngineeringPrevious experience in building services electrical design within a consultancy or contractor environment
Proficiency in Amtech, Relux/Dialux, Revit and standard Microsoft Office software packages
Good understanding of British Standards, Building Regulations and industry best practice
Exposure to sustainable and energy-efficient design principles
Awareness of renewable and low-carbon technologies within building services projects
Working towards professional membership with IET or CIBSE, with an interest in pursuing Chartership
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teamsWhat you'll get in return
