KC Group are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation within the support services sector, seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join their finance team on a full-time temporary to permanent basis. Based in the Birmingham area, hybrid working is available and a flexible start time of 8:00am/ 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional to take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function within a fast-paced business environment. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll operations are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with current legislation.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll operations are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager role Includes:
- Managing the end-to-end payroll process for a large workforce
- Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and to strict deadlines
- Maintaining compliance with HMRC regulations and payroll legislation
- Managing statutory payments, pensions and deductions
- Reconciling payroll reports and resolving payroll queries
- Producing payroll-related reporting and analysis for senior management
- Leading process improvements and maintaining payroll controls
- Liaising with finance, HR and external stakeholders as required
- Supporting audits and compliance activities
- Previous experience in a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll position
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
- Experience managing high-volume payrolls
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across departments
- Available to start at short notice
- Competitive hourly rate of £20.50 - £25.64 per hour
