Trainee Accountant - #2112453

Our client is seeking motivated and ambitious Trainee Accountant to join a professional accounting team based in Birmingham City Centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop their career in accounting while gaining valuable practical experience within a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
• Processing invoices, payments and expenses
• Supporting the preparation of accounts and financial reports
• Completing bank reconciliations
• Assisting with VAT returns and payroll administration
• Using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Supporting senior accountants with general finance duties

Requirements:

• A degree or relevant qualification in accounting, finance, business or a related subject is preferred
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Previous accounting experience is beneficial but not essential
